Magnetic Product Description:
This block magnet has a length of 50mm, a width of 25mm and a height of 10mm with a magnetic flux reading of 3047 Gauss. It has a Nickel coating. This is an end of line magnet and we have limited quantities available.
Uses for our rare earth block magnets:
These neodymium block magnets, developed in the 1980’s are stronger than many of their predecessors and have gained widespread use in all industries on account of their economy. Economy of size, price and space. Magnets like these blocks are housed in many white goods, power tools, electric engines and motors. They provide the magnetic field to enable the conversion of electrical power to mechanical power (force and movement).
‘Gate open, gate close’ protocols are enforced by these permanent block magnets on bulk material handling systems. Deployed as diligent gatekeepers to authorise opening and controlled closing of industrial doors and gates, they also help engage industrial hose couplings, vents, lids and skids.
Master cabinetmakers slot these rectangular blocks into recessed pockets of timber, stone, glass, ceramics, foam and all types of plastic or synthetic materials for fastening. Intuitive open and soft closures are just the beginning. Magnets constitute a secret or hidden fixing system, fastening with ‘bond’ rather than ‘tie’ for a much more streamlined, sleeker look.
Magnetic bond dovetails with the material of our age, plastics. A compatible fastening agent, joining all plastics with traditional framing materials is easy for magnetic bond, but a problem for penetrative fasteners and glues.
Penetrating plastics soils and weakens it. Forever. Gluing materials together is a first and last chance fastening. Non-negotiable. For servicing, cleaning, replacing component parts, magnets let go, at a pre-determined pull force (quit the grip), only to instinctively join again, as if for the first time.
Can be used for general purposes and is a handy size with plenty of magnetic strength.
